Acylic Painting-Intermediate Course

Experience:

A hands-on course for aspiring painters who want to take their acrylic painting skills further while exploring different artistic styles. Over four group painting classes, you’ll create four reproductions, each based on a different painting style or artistic approach. By working through a variety of references, you’ll expand your technical skills, learn to observe how other artists work, and develop a deeper understanding of your own painting practice.
 

Approach:

Learn alongside professional artists with guidance throughout the process, while having enough freedom to experiment and make the techniques your own. Each reproduction introduces different painting methods, approaches to colour, composition, brushwork, and surface. The classes are blended with art history, giving context to the styles and artists you’re studying while keeping the focus firmly on practical learning. Assignments and learning materials allow you to continue developing your skills beyond the studio sessions.
 

Structure:

Across the four classes, you’ll make four different reproductions, each chosen to introduce you to a different painting style or technique. Rather than simply copying an image, the aim is to understand how a particular painting was constructed and what you can learn from its process.
 

You’ll work with guidance from professional artists throughout the course, exploring more advanced acrylic painting techniques and building on the skills you already have. After completing the four classes, you’ll have a private online feedback session to discuss your work, ask questions, and receive personalised feedback on your progress and next steps.
